wow that is a much subtler way of asking what i was gonna ask. but in case it's not clear, can someone who's slept on this mattress to tell me how it performs under heavy action?

Neither do I??? Isn't the purpose of a mattress to sleep on?

lol.
I didn't see the connection but i knew what the guy was asking.
I would assume there's less..."bounce" with the memory foam mattress?

I was gonna ask this if you didn't. Interesting choice of words.
BTW, does the chick come with the mattress? If so, it might influence my purchasing decision somewhat ;)

lol...definitely not a heavy-action-motel-headboard-slapping mattress here. If the bounce back is part of your technique during heavy action than you're gonna have to change it up a bit. this is like sleeping on dough.

I got this the last time it was on sale for 299,and boy what a comfy mattress,we ended up taking out our boxspring, dropping our regular mattress and putting this on top, this thing is thick, almost 10 inches, just make sure you let it sit for a day after you unpack it.
highly recommended.

Is there anyone you would be able to PM this at that will give you 10% off the difference?

Did you have plywood or metal frame? I wonder how much support this thing needs.

How are they compared to Novafoam from Costco?!?!
Glad this is back on-sale. Was going to pick it up last time but wasn't too sure based on the name etc..
I've read as many reviews as I can, and the consensus seems to be both from RFD'ers who purchased and others throughout the web, that it's a good buy and comfy.
Going to grab one this evening I do believe.

what's the difference between this one and the other "ObusForme™ Memory Foam Mattress, Queen" that's selling for $324 at CanTire?

Would it be possible to return it if you find you don't like it? Because from what I've read not find the memory foam comfortable.

Once you remove the mattress from the big punching bag, there is no way a normal human can put it back in their factory box. It takes 72 hours to have the mattress ready to sleep (completely expand). But there is a 1-800 number where you can call if you are not completely satisfy.

If you're referring " heavy action" to what I'm thinking of what you're thinking of, then no. It just doesn't bounce back.
But for regular sleeping and especially for people who has back problem, then it's a good choice.
They both have 3" of memory foam. Just the high density base foam came with different thickness.

I bought this one year ago. It releases a very bad smell in the beginning. It takes one month for the smell to go away. I sleep on it every night, it has been perfect.
It is not manufactured by Obusforme. The manufacturer of the mattress paid Obusforme to use the trademark.
For the price, it is a good buy. However, if you have a decent mattress, you should pass this deal and just buy a memory foam topper.

I bought a 3" memory foam topper from costco. It was comfortable, other than the terrible shoulder pain gave me...
For sex though, I found the memory foam much much superior to the spring mattresses. So I don't think you really need to worry about that being an issue if you decide to go with the memory foam bed.

Standing on these things is tricky business. The Costco one i have is awesome, but its the thicker 12" one.
This is probably very comfortable too. But unless you have massive platypus feet, don't try standing on it or pulling any stand acrobatics.

Just looked online and the Novaform Queen sized 3" memory foam is $215. Crappy Tire has the Obusform Queen sized 3" memory foam for $117.

I have the 12 inch one and I love it. It's my main/only bed. My gf calls it my "cloud like" bed. It has good support. But the one downside I see is that if it's to be used for two people who weigh combined more than 300lbs then it may sag too much in the middle. Me & my gal are skinny b**ches so not an issue for us.

Is this the poor man's/woman's version of the Tempur-pedic memory foam mattress that is "NASA-endorsed" (yadda yadda yadda) and you see on late-night infomercials?
That one costs thousands and can be bought at Sleep Country Canada.. how does this compare???
Thanks.

Can this stuff be cut and what would you use?

Your dog wouldnt use it for a few months cause it smells ;)
The 8 incher is easier to cut cause it doesnt have the 1 inch seperated top. I would diy a heated wire with a diy straight edge of some sort...Fumes could be deadly
OTOH, if you dont have to be neat....just use a exacto knife...

My dogs are labs. One likes to sleep at the foot of the bed and the other buried in the pillows at the top of the bed. Tired of waking up to dog butt in the face or getting my head kicked when the dog is running in his sleep! It would be great if they would just stay on their own comfy bed.

Seriously. But you would need a sharp long blade. At least 8".

We bought one. There is actually more memory foam on the cheaper one, plus we're going to throw another memory foam topper on it too.
Looks good.
