Please tell me if the dealer can replace orginal engine/transmission from manufacture with another one on a brand new car before sell it to customer? Where can I get orginal engine/transmission number and related informaion based on VIN?
I appreciate for your help.

The question is why would they ever bother to do that? I don't see that being cost effective...
Reason:
In order to do that, they have to pay for the engine and transmission (BRAND NEW), and then spend so much on labour to get the old one out and the new one in.
I think in this case, it will cost them alot more than just the sell the car with defective engine/transmission
