If you have your old adapter, look for the voltage and ampere. If you don't have it, then look under your laptop for the input current, which will show the volts and amps. Buy the one with the same specs.

Please avoid the generic, so-called "OEM" or "replacement" adapters (and batteries). They are absolute garbage, cheap Chinese junk that can actually damage your laptop. They are NOT OEM. They are cheap knockoffs made out of junk. Hence why they are so cheap.

One company that sells these heaps is Laptop Web Savings in Mississauga. The products are horrible and the service is even worse. Their RMA service is absolutely bogus.

I'm not familiar with the Kensington specifically, but I do know that adapters aren't really their specialty. You should be looking for a Sparkle, made by Fortron Source. FSP is one of the number one power supply manufacturers. They are very reliable and offer exceptional build quality. They are also far better value than the more expensive Targus.

It's not worth it to chance an expensive piece of equipment on a piece of garbage knock-off battery or adapter. I can tell you a lot more about these "Ebay specials" if you like, based on personal experience and dissection of the units.
