My parents are going to the states and buying me a iphone. so I'm wondering if I can unlock like the 2g version and how much would it be at a private wireless store

My other question is. Which one should I buy Iphone 3G or HTC HD.

3g can only be jailbreaked.
to sim unlock you would need a turbosim.
