Hello everyone, a HD/Blu-Ray NOOB here seeking some info.

I will be putting my system soon and I'll be using an HD 4850 video card. If i was to get a 24" LCD MONITOR with HD compatibility, all i would have to do to experience Hi-Def would play Hi-Def/Blu-Ray movies off my hard drive(downloaded) right? If so, anyone recommend a monitor so I can look out for it when boxing day comes around. Or is there something I am missing?

Thanks

Widescreen monitors=1920x1200
Widescreen 16:9 monitors=1920x1080, like an HDTV

http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/dell-s2409w-flat-panel/4505-3174_7-33190912.html which was a Dell deal for $280, free shipping a few months back and I'm sure it will come around again.

There are other monitors with better picture quality but that is an example of a bang-for-your-buck 16:9 24" monitor.
