I'm trying to ask in a relatively unbiased forum. I realize to fully utilize the services, you need a Mac but there are a lot of iPhone users which through iTunes can be a wonderful extension to one another.

My trial ends in a few days and I'm contemplating whether or not it's a good value at $109/annually. I like the sync features and I do own a Mac but are there other similar services out there?

Just want to get some thoughts on this. Too bad there isn't a way to create a script to sync your calendar/mail, etc. from a hosting service that uses an OS X friendly backend.

Why don't you subscribe to an Exchange service? The Iphone supports Microsoft Exchange. I use Microsoft Exchange in conjunction with Outlook 2007. It synchronizes everything very well. I've been using it for almost 3 years and it keeps me up to date on everything. It even works well with my Nokia E71. I would avoid MobileMe like the plague after all of the negative reviews out there. Still, if you insist on ME then go with it, but I strongly recommend you take a look at Microsoft Exchange.

Exchange sounds more appropriate for the suits. This is for casual use more than anything.

I don't think there are any other alternatives beside renewing your ME subscription.
