I have a dead laptop (Toshiba A100) and want to get data in my laptop hardrive ASAP for my project. I've found a Hard Drive Adapter/Converter at tigerdirect for $10.00, but it will take week to delivered to my home which is too long - I need it today is possible.

I've bought a new laptop Toshiba M100 and try to insert the hardrive from the previous dead laptop, but I got the BLUE SCREEN OF DEAD.

Is there something that FutureShop, Staples, Bestbuy or TheSourceCC sells that can help me to backup my data?

Thank you.

You already have the hard drive out? Just go buy a 2.5" external enclosure from any computer store (Tiger, Canada Computers) and plug the hard drive in via USB. They're like 15 bucks and don't even need a power supply. Don't try to boot from it, it won't work. Just plug it in when you're already in Windows, and copy what you need.
