Gaming on a 13.3" laptop, no matter what you do, won't be really any good. With the smaller laptops, you are somewhat limited as to battery life typically.

Any of the processors will be just fine for schoolwork. I'd be inclined to take the P8400.

Those hard drive prices are exhorbiant. You can buy a 320gb 7200rpm hard drive from NCIX or elsewhere for a little over $100. So to pay $100 for an 'upgrade' is ridiculous.

Same with the RAM. 4gb of RAM, in total, costs around $70.

$500 for blu-ray is extortion too.

What sort of budget do you have? Dropping $2000 on a laptop seems insane. You can get some pretty nice Dells with the coupons that are on RFD from time to time -- or even go on eBay and buy the Dell business-class laptops (ie: Latitude) for roughly 50% of the Dell website price.
