Hey everyone, anyone know any good deals for getting rogers cable internet service? There used to be a few around but I can't find any.
Thanks!

Check their webpage. I just found out there's a $10.00 off on all service levels. I phoned in and got the Extreme service for the same price as Express (95GB bandwith allowance over 60GB and also...a faster speed!) locked in for 12 months.

So you got extreme for $35/mo??
Their website says that they now have a $50 installation charge??

Talk to a CSR and the charge should be dropped.

any friends or family deals going on? It seems like most other providers are offering a little more incentive than Rogers has been lately.

I remembered a friend sent this a few weeks ago:

New activations only though, and it's limited on which services it applies to.

Ok so that's actually a bit better than what you can normally get online, which I guess is the best that we can expect.
Internet discount
- regular price for Express is $44.95/mo + $3/mo modem rental
- $10 off/mo for 12 months, plus $30 credit when apply online ($2.50/mo)
- activation fee of $14.95 ($1.25/mo)
= so comes out to $36.70/mo (25.4% off full regular)
Friends & Family plan - 40% off regular price until Dec 15th
- regular price for Express is $44.95/mo + $3/mo modem rental
- this offers $17.98 off per month
- activation fee of $14.95 ($1.25/mo)
= so comes out to $31.22/mo (36.5% off full regular, or $5.48 extra off per month from internet discount)
* both cases may charge $50 for a technician to come in, but that may be able to be waived.

anything for existing customers?

Nothing that I know of for existing customers other than the standard call up and complain about the price and threaten to switch to DSL and see what they can do.
However just so everyone knows I called up once I moved for the friends and family service, that number goes straight to someone in rogers (not an automated hell) and she just took my info, scheduled an appointment for the next day and I was up and running. Fastest rogers call and service I've ever had.
