Hi all, I came to canada in 2007 and I have never worked because I was focusing on school to try to get my grades up,
I took full summer school so I could not work during the summer.
But now with the york strike I am looking to get a part time job, I just want to know what you guys think is the best job
someone with no previous work experience can get as a university student and what the best way is to get it. Thanks

It depends, are you legally able to work in Canada?

If you are, waiting on tables is a good job. You earn cash tips as well as a salary. How much you make depends on the kind of restaraunt you work in.

e.g. Working at Swiss chalet will yeild less tips then working at The Keg because average cheque are higher at The Keg then Swiss Chalet.

As well, your probably going to have to report your income so it might effect the amount of OSAP your recieve.
