If you use a filler item to bring your total over $40 - then use the $10 off coupon (read the post) - then the title is accurate........
thanks OP!!!!!!

I have that tire gauge...it's pretty accurate if you insert it just right...but it's pretty hard to insert it perfectly (takes a lot of practice)

That gauge is junk. I bought one of these and the O ring that creates a good seal around the tire valve fell out and was a pain to fill properly.
I contact Accutire and they shipped me a replacement gauge in 2 months. That replacement gauge (same model) also had the ring fall out in 1 month.
I would avoid this Accutire model.

You must be using it wrong then... cuz I've been using mine regularly for two years and it still works like new. My two friends have the same as well and they haven't had any issues.
I have not way of determining whether it's accurate or not, but I can definately vouch for how consistent it is.

The $10 off coupon cannot be used against items on sale. I tried it at Scarborough PS and ended up putting the "Sale" items on different transaction and then apply the $10 off coupon towards the non-sale items.

I have used the $10 off coupon at the Pickering location on sale products and it worked no problem.

Is the Mobil 1 real synthetic oil or is it one of those that are blended? In the Motor Vehicle section I started a thread asking if I should switch but many dissuaded me to use synthetic on my 2002 Civic.

I know that.. it's just misleading. At first I thought M1 for $30.. great deal.. when in fact you have to pay over $40 to get it.
~$30 = $40 != $30

You would pay $40? The coupon is $10 off $40 so you would effectively pay about $30 + Taxes. ~$30 + Taxes is what would leave your bank account. Not $40.
Unless of course you add more expensive fillers. This is exactly the same as the Canadian Tire $10 off $40 coupons that come around every so often.

OK point given....
If you want to not use the coupon - then don't
If you want to pay full price - then do
If you want to complain - don't do it here

Mobil is the company, and Mobil 1 is the name of the 100% synthetic oil. I won't get into the argument of PAO base stocks, etc. because that issue has been debated to death here.

Generally speaking what's the going rate for Grade III motor oil (like Mobil 1).
In this deal, 30bucks for 5.4L is ~ = $5.55/L..
For stuff like Royal Purple (Grade IV oil) is 7bucks the average?
royal purple > mobil 1

BS. Trust me on this, 99% of people do not need to use royal purple. They would just be throwing their money away.
Do you have a dedicated track car or something?
If anything, Penzoil Platinum > Mobil 1 .. because of price.
