I think this is a great price for a brand new Mac Book, its most likely last generation, but its 250$ cheaper then Apple Store, its actually same price as a refurb from apple.ca

It's still small. It's still sleek. It's still the coolest kid on the block. The only thing that's different is that it's faster ¿ at everything. With speeds up to 2.4GHz, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and more hard drive space, it's the fastest, most-versatile MacBook yet.

Just wait people.
They're expecting prices to drop more now because retail sales aren't going to be so great this year.
You guys have heard, there's a crisis going around the world, it's about the economy.
(really it's a big cash grab by the international bankers), but still, sales are way down, they'll have to adjust accordingly eventually.

Not a bad price for someone looking to buy a Mac notebook. However, be aware that this model is the 2.1 Ghz one, and that it does not have a DVD burner. RAM is not a big deal, because it can always be bought (cheaper) from DirectCanada.com/NCIX.

Note, the one on the Apple Store has a SuperDrive.
Still a good deal though.

Prices will go down, but because our exchange rate is making USD more expensive, I have a feeling it will balance out.

For those who are not sure, this is not the current-gen MacBook as the specs indicate that it is equipped with the Intel graphics chip. Still not too bad a price...for a mac.

Steve Jobs' has a pretty strong philosophy - pick the pricepoint, and hold to it. You can offer more for the same price (product upgrades), but you don't lower the price (iphone 3g is a notable exception). It's very unlikely that prices will drop... Apple tends to raise the specs when it wants to be more competitive
