We were driving by Bayview and Hwy 7 last night and noticed Aji Sai AYCE sushi is no longer there, we used to eat there quite often and found their food quite good. I wonder does anyone know what happened to them? I also tried to hit there website but that has been removed also, looks like the chain of restaurants are no longer in business.

There's still one on Queen St west and Spadina.

The number is 416-603-3366

It sucks though the quality has gone way down since they opened.

I hope it's not true also, I thought the Bayview location was one of the better AYCE sushi places we have tried, I just want to clarify we drove by and the sign is gone, in it's place was a neon LCBO and open sign without the name of the restaurant, it was raining and abit hard to see. One thing I can confirm is their website is down and no longer exists.

I beg to differ. I think he's a great guy.

The manager who is featured predominantly in their website is a dick.

I cant but smile to hear they're gone. Maybe he'll learn some manners next time he opens another restaurant.

Went to the Queen St. location last week for lunch... the food from the kitchen was ok; the calamari was very good! As per usual at AYCE restaurants the rolls had way too much rice and they were not that good. The sushi was not that great either... but I have to say the decor was pretty nice.

Won't be going back.

Too bad... I liked that place, but yeah the manager wasn't too polite. I always saw him rushing people to pay for their food even before they were done lol.

My friend got food poisoning or bacteria or parasite after eating there once. Had to see GI specialist, diarrhea for >1 yr.

Of course, this could have happened anywhere, where they serve raw fish.

The only problem I ever had with the restaurant was one time the washroom was totally unsanitary, I mean it was bad where I lost my appetite. I then asked myself the question if they didn't care about the restrooms you wonder how clean the kitchen is? Regarding the Mgr he was never rude to us, however you can see he really wanted to turn over the tables at times.

The bayview/7 location is still open. I went there on Sunday for lunch. The plaza's been renovated, so maybe thats why you didn't see their sign.

Thanks for updating, may make a visit up there soon.

By the way was the sign on top of the restaurant missing?
