Yellow pages, anyone?

I canceled my Yellow Pages listing after a few years. I'm listed there as an electronics consultant providing services of designing electronic circuits.

Yet all the leads I got from it are from odd people who, for instance, want their TV repaired, which I don't do.

There were only two semi-normal customers I ever got from yellow pages over several years. First was ok, the second one needed some circuits for the perpetuum mobile (Yep!) he was designing. (Crap, I just violated NDA I signed with him! :) )

How is everybody else's experience with YP?

I got a free cell phone listing in the yellow pages for my business. I don't get a lot of hits from that, but its free. I find that getting a free listing on www.411.ca has got me more business then the yellow pages.
