Since I've been working at Leslie/16th my options for food is slightly limited. I started going to 241 this past week and in store the Panzo's were made fresh in front of me. I was surprised because even the pizza started out as a refridgerated ball and not a pre-made dough.

Anways as we were eating we noticed the family special. We were shocked by how cheap it was (hence 241 i guess). Anyways we ordered it up with 20 rib tips last night and it came to $51 with tax and delivery (might be alot but compare this amount of food with pizza pizza (which got rid of the family special), pizza nova, and pizza hut). This is what we got:

2 Large Pizzas (this was a mistake on their part, but I was on hold for like 10 minutes as they determined if I was within the delivery area)
10 Breaded Wings (amazing is all i can say, comparible to the amount of meat on KFC chicken, without the greasy taste)
20 Rib Tips
1 Order of Potato Wedges
6 Pops
Box of Jos Louis
2 Dipping sauces

Without the rib tips it would have came to $32.

Either way I will definately be buying 241 again.

By the way I think the one I ordered from was Maple because the RHill one couldn't get past the accident at Bayview/16th last night.

241 is what people may call a "budget" franchise and is usually located accordingly these days (they're usually located in lower income neighbourhoods, at least in Toronto, wasn't the case in the past), but for what you pay, it's not bad. I still have a soft spot for it because it's what I used to have as a kid all the time. :D You usually get more for what you pay than say... Pizza Pizza. Their pizza is best described as somewhere between Domino's and Pizza Hut I think... quite greasy with a strong sauce but good once in a while.

Maybe I'll try those breaded wings and the rib tips next time. Sounds interesting.

241 is one of my favorite "value" pizza's. Vastly better tasting than 3-for-1 or Pizza Pizza. Apparently 241 and Gino's Pizza are or were the same company (at one time owned by the guy who owns "Shred-it" document processing).
In my area theres another great, albeit smaller chain, "Twice the Deal". Very similar to 241, slightly better.

i buy 241 ALL the time even for parties. the one at 16th/leslie is open late too so its a nice place to hang if you want something different than timmies(has wifi and electrical outlets).

my gf and i were playfully arguing over which dipping sauce to get for the pizza and the guy gave us both for free.

i also had a soft spot as i used to go to the one at 14th and kennedy.

Yeah I noticed the place is very relaxing. Usually pretty crowded around 8-9pm with students on laptops.

I think I've converted as well. Possibly just for the wings :D.

There are less and less 241's around.

Haven't ate from them in yearsss.

Gotta admit I really liked the zesty tomato sauce in their pizzas. mmmmm

i enjoy 241 too but there are some locations that are run by some ghetto owners. i sometimes like 341 but i would say most of their locations are super ghetto. the ghetto-est pizza franchise is double double. 95% are crap, compared to 75% crap 341 stores, and like 40% 241's.

I love the panzoretti from Double Double. I haven't found a pizza chain that make it better than them. I heard their fried chicken and burgers a pretty good too....

241's Panzo's are pretty good. They add like a garlic and herb seasoning to the crust.

BEST Panzo hand's down (Anyone in the RHill area would know) was Mondo's Pizza. They had this ginormous deep fried panzo which was like $8. It was literally right across the street from my fiancee's and we would snag it at least 1 time a week. The dough, because it was fried, kinda had a beaver tail or spring roll flavour. He never skimped on toppings and was super friendly. They also had good ice cream.

I literally bought his last tub of olives. Had no idea he was closing down and went in the night before he closed up shop and noticed everything was gone. Picked up 2 panzo's and bought his tub of olives in the fridge.

RIP Mondo's you will forever be the best Panzo's around.

Came across this new little family run pizzeria, best pizza I've tasted in a long time. We are taking about original authentic pizza, not like franchise. Prices are great and the panzos are huge only $5 or something for cheese and sauce. Delicious.
