Hi guys, i've started a little website to fill my days, each time I saw a as seen on tv products i was like.. would be great if it work.
That's pretty much the website goal, please don't be too direct but i want your comments and if possible suggestion, what could be better, etc.. Keep in mind i don't have any website specialization.
BTW: Lots of people already told me I need a new logo, please skip this comment for now.
www.tvproductsreviews.com
Thanks :D
P.S. Je prend aussi les commentaires francais, svp pas de suggestion de mettre le site en francais, j'y travaille mais j'attend un software alors c'est plus long.

Yep I agree something better than the standard layout, also adsense is better than adbrite

It looks like a giant "404 page cannot be found" page, nothing is emphasized, and your content takes backseat to the ads.
Do you really want people to not even look at your content?

adsense banned me because some stupid click all ads each day, he also screwed with the forum, layout is made by a template via css, I started playing with it but I'm no css programmer so it takes some times to do some changes.
What would be the primary change to focus, don't be too generic, like say, move this column or something.
The new logo will be bigger and more centered also.

The logo is the least of your worries.
The layout is absolutely horrible! The distracting side-bar ads are pushing the main content to the bottom of the page, and it takes about 3-4 clicks just to get to the reviews.
I'd give it a 99% bounce rate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounce_Rate), with visitors leaving within the first 30 secs. There's nothing on your landing page that attracts any interest.

How can you say the reviews are unbiased when it's random people from all over the world writing them?
Anyone could easily write a review saying that a product is AMAZING when it actuality it is the epitome of suck.

I'm the one doing the review and it's unbiased because i'm not selling my site to promote the product, no links to buy it, no ads about them and no affiliate.

What should be done? Change the main content to comes out of the rest?

Horrible layout wiith a huge banner in the center. Of course I use adblock so it is just a huge empty space in the middle of the page

To be honest, you may be better sticking to the few default Joomla! themes WITHOUT messing them up. You may want to brush up a bit on your customization skills BEFORE even pushing it into beta.

it is the basic template, the only thing i change yet is the polls that was on the right, i've put it with the two other user module.
Btw, i'm asking for suggestion, I only have bad comment which is ok, but which doesn't help me get it better. When you say the layout isn't good, what can be changed so the layout gets good.
One thing i know about what you said is the top ad and the side ad are too big so I'm resizing them.

Horrible Lay out, You definitely do need logo, and template. Don't worry google banned me ages ago for no reason at all probably making too much money lol. Anyways I used Adbrite and Widgetbuck they both are great for blogs as well. Btw What software are you using to blog.. is it Wordpress... Actually it is not I suggest you to go to Wordpress I am using it as well much easier, easier to modify and tons of plugins available. So give it a Shot =)

I use joomla, the site is very easy to use, only the template, either you program one using css either you grab what's available, I've seen a lot and they all got one good thing, putting all the good thing together would be the way but anyway... gotta do with what's available.

But I don't like the green.
I think most those other ones are themed and since you really don't know what you are doing, they don't relate to your site. Someone standing in front of grass has nothing to do with your site, and I don't think it should be used.
