I realize this isn't a new game, but I picked it up for $15 at EB last night. And all I can say is "wow".
This game is perhaps the single worst game I have ever played. I had heard it was a flop before, but figured "For $15, I might get a few hours of enjoyment out of it." Saying it is a flop is an understatement.
First off, it comes on 6 CDs. That is absurd, considering it was made in 2006, which already had games on DVDs.
Second, there is "multiplayer" but since it was a flop, there are 0 people on it.
3rd, the camera. I don't even know how to describe it, but the back of the box explains it pretty well. It uses a "drama free camera". This means, the camera never rotates. You cannot rotate the camera. You can use the mouse wheel to zoom in & out, but it is always facing the same direction, which makes it hard to see where certain things are, or move around other objects. If something is behind a building, you can't see it, because you can't rotate around it.
The controls are pretty bad. You can barely customize mouse controls. You have a certain number of skills. Some are left click skills, and some are right click skills. You can't assign a right click skill to the left mouse button, which is lame.
The graphics are beyond disappointing. I can barely read the text because it is all pixellated. The text looks like script text from the SNES. And it isn't my PC that i the problem, I have dual 512mb graphics cards and 4gb of RAM.
I spent less time playing this game than it took for me to install it before I threw it in a corner with no intention to ever play it again. You couldn't pay me to play this game again. I realize this game is old, but I just wanted to vent about how bad the game is. Considering I had low expectations to begin with, and it didn't even come close to that, saying I am disappointed is an understatement.
