View Full Version : How do you like your starbucks/second cup coffee and what do you add?

Hey everyone, i usually drink coffee from these two, however i am very inexperienced as in how to mix my coffee by the amount of adding milk, cream sugar.

What coffee blend you put? house or bold? How do you people like it? How much of each do you add? Do you add honey? White sugar or brown sugar? Homo milk or half-and-half?

By the way no bashing on both these companies, this thread is just about how much and what you add to your coffee cause these two are the ones you can do yourself!

P.s. i have tried timothy's coffee, are they any good? thanks!:?:

It's really just up to your personal tastes.

I drink my coffee black.

I usually add 2 creams, 2 sugars. :cheesygri It's the perfect medium for me.

bold is my usual at SB.

i'm gradually transitioning to black and no sugar. funny though two years ago i was enjoying those intensely sugary french caps from timmies.

If I were to get a hot coffee at SB, I go for a latte...it already has milk in it and I pour the sugar and count to 10 then stop..

timothy's is so gross compares to second cup and SB. However, I do like their noisette (hazelnut) blend...

btw..how come u stole jc's avatar?

I rarely drink "regular" coffee but when I do, I order Quad Bold with Vanilla. I add Creme and Brown Sugar. :cheesygri

As for Timmies, I only drink it if it's free.

extra caramel?!?!?! I get the extra shot because I find it too sweet even with the caramel that's in it. I also like to get the shot of espresso after the caramel has been put on (affocado), that way it melts the caramel and brings it to the bottom.

Sugar-free Vanilla, Extra Hot, Soy Latte from Starbucks when I feel like splurging. The sugar-free vanilla makes me feel better about the sugar, extra hot because by the time I drink it, it's always cooler, soy milk because I'm partially lactose intolerant. =)

Awake Tazo Tea from Starbucks with Honey and non-fat milk for regular days.

i dont go to these places very often, but when i do go to SB i order bold, and cream and the raw sugar, probably double on both, in the medium sized cup.

my own coffee at home is much better, and i find i use less sugar.

Oh please, half the drinks people order from Starbucks/Second Cup aren't even coffee.

I don't know why people even bother having that slight bit of coffee taste in their calorie laden Machiatto, or Soy Latte or Frappucino, etc etc etc.

Green Tea Latte - I drink it as-is.

I don't understand how people can come up with crazy concoctions. If you have to change the drink so much to fit your own personal tastes, wouldn't that suggest that the drink is bad to begin with? Sometimes the baristas get their tongues twisted just going through their routines.

I usually get a simple, no frills no fat latte at starbucks and don't add anything to it. If I get a coffee or an americano, I add a bit of milk and 1 sugar. It's all about personal taste.

Add matcha for $0.55.

I have a Duetto Starbucks Visa from Royal Bank and I use my CC a lot (I hate going to the bank to withdraw cash) so I never had to pay a cent in SB :cheesygri

Hmm good call. I might apply for one.

Wish there was a bucks around my school. All we get is an overpriced Williams with terrible coffee, and food.

There will be one coming to your area...seriously...two years ago, the nearest SB is like 20 minutes away and now there is two within 10 minutes driving distance

at sbux i usually get an americano (espresso diluted with hot water). sometimes i'll get it with steamed milk (americano misto). if i'm in a sweet mood i'll ask for a pump of hazelnut (hazelnut americano misto).

at second cup i'd get a paradiso (medium or dark) with 2 packets of raw sugar and splash of soy or cream.

Grande mild. Then I put milk + sweetener in it.

Where I work the Starbucks is the only coffee place on my way to work/near my work.

Nothing drives me more crazy then waiting in line while some yuppie-suv-driving-soccer mom orders herself a tall, caramel machiato with a double shot of espressso.. blah...blah... blah.... when all I want is a FRIGGGIN COFFEE!!!

I used to work at a place where a lot of rich people live (include VP of Rogers, and CEO of lots of well known company). People would place two seperate orders to avoid paying 2 taxes if the subtotal exceed $4 ..I don't recall one incident where the line is inside the store

If i go to starbucks or second cup, i usually go for a latte or a mocha. pour some sugar and probably sprinkle some chocolate powder

when i go to timmies, either a double-double, or a half-chocolate half coffee.
