Hi,

Does anyone know if PSP S3000 is available in stores yet?
I have checked online and it seems BB/FS still carry the old model (S2000).

I am looking for a black PSP S3000. Does it even exist?

I think the new Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters bundles (for $199) are the 3000 models.

Though, you may want to hold off until Sony does something about the interlacing issue.

was at stc today, and they had the psp 3000 at walmart and sony style (not sure about EB games). only silver ratchet and clank pack is out though, the sony style guy told me they won't be releasing a black psp 3000 until after christmas at least.

Sony decided together with U.S. retailers to drop the Black Sony PSP-3000 Media Pack we reported about recently. The PSP Pack was already available on pre-order and was supposed to ship at the end of November.
Now the only PSP-3000 SKU is the silver PSP-3000 inside the PSP Ratchet and Clank Entertainment Pack.

In December Sony will release a Piano Black Ratchet & Clank Size Matters PSP Entertainment Pack. Via the official Sony Playstation blog.

What is bothering about this news is that Sony is apparently not planning to release a PSP-3000 console outside of a bundle this Holidays. The PSP-2000 sells for $169.99 and Sony should actually just remove that from the market and replace it with the PSP-3000 at the same price.

What a piss off. I don't give a rat's ass about this game, and Sony's resisting the PSP 2000 price drop. :mad:

Yeah it's really odd. the Piano Black 3000 is out for about $210 US (or what used to be), and their own Entertainment pack with a few more extra accessories is about $325 USD. If you're impatient, you can get a Japanese one from Yes-Asia or Play-Asia.

i know they have that interlacing problem as another poster mentioned above.

I'm just waiting to see if the 3000 can be hacked or not though, interlacing isn't in every game, and Piano black >>> Silver. What were they thinking?

the interlacing isn't as bad as the screenshots that are posted everywhere, its the odd frame that goes out of sync and is far less bothersome than the ghosting from the 1000.

The whole purpose was to reduce ghosting. I prefer the 2000 series screen myself.
