My god..

Okay, for those of you who don't know. Fuzion is a very popular wine at the LCBO. So popular that it has many LCBOs in Ontario backordered several times with limited shipments coming in over and over again. (Many say it has the "sophistication and complexity of wines >$20)

The wine is called Fuzion, it's combination of Shiraz (70%) and Malbec (30%) from Argentina, year 2007. Price per bottle is $7.45 at LCBOs.

Yes, while any moron who understands how supply and demand work can argue that when supplies are low...charge higher prices. But my god... when searching for car parts on Kijiji, i stumbled upon this Fuzion ad...

Here continues my rant...WHAT AN IDIOT! MORON! DUMBASS WHO SHOULD GET A REAL JOB!! This guy/girl/hick has the personality of a Maple Leafs ticket scalper.

They think that people will pay $20 for a bottle of wine that is REGULATED to be $7.45 taxes and deposit included? For $20 there are wines that have much better complexity and are from very good vintages.

If you REALLY want Fuzion, it's easy enough to get at LCBOs, most of them will put a bottle or two aside for you, with some people having cases available should you need them. I've been to several LCBOs at random times, each of them having a significant stock of Fuzion on the shelves.

This is a stupid way to try and make money, and it really makes you think how stupid and desperate people are. NO ONE who knows anything about wine will buy (scratch that...should goes where will is) this.

I've sent the seller a message telling them they are idiots and they should find a real job. God, you see this all the time on classifieds. If it's not moronic buyers, its ridiculous sellers.

I don't even think it is legal to sell wine without a licence.

I bet someone even more moronic will come along and buy them at that price eventually.

For $20 i'd rather get another bottle of the Jackson Triggs 2004 Meritage I had the other night. Fantastic wine showing complexity beyond my bias against big ontario reds.

The 2006 is pretty damn yummy and not too too tight as well! Good value at $13.95. Better value than some Chileans in that price range I think.

The point I was driving at is that these are typically the type of people who run puppy mills out of their homes, or who sell false hopes and fake products on eBay.

However, I'm glad that the ads are being taken down.

I still don't really understand why you are so upset about it. It's a free market, if someone is willing to buy it for $20/bottle, I don't see anything wrong with that.

Exactly... big deal. IF someone wants them that bad, I'm glad they can get them. If no one wants them, then I hope the seller likes wine.

Too rant and fume about it... That's more surprising to me.

I also find the rant peculiar.
Whether it is illegal or not, this guy is selling a product that is in demand. Same as scalping tickets. In some other forums he would be praised as an entrepreneur.
I think the OP is a little peeved he did not think of this first and buy all existing stock himself. :cheesygri

Who cares. If a few people want to pay exorbitant prices for wine, let them.
It's no skin off your back.

fyi....a lot of stores just got another shipment in this week. Check online for inventory. Just picked up another case. Definitely a great value at $7.50 especially with all of the holiday parties coming up.

Welcome to Kijiji/Craigslist!

I wonder if the ads were geared towards minors  Prob not....if kids want to get hammered they prob wont go for ovepriced wine.
