For those without pre orders i would assume the usual suspects will have a bit of stock ie. walmart, FS, BB etc...
Mines sitting at EB Games waiting for me to pick up tomorrow :] Guitar bundle that is.
Traditionally the guitar bundles have been a pain to get although maybe supply wont be as bad this time around.

I was at the Heartland Walmart at 6 am and they were sold out (only had 3 of each). Went to Square One for the 7 am opening and got the Wii version (full bundle - with drums). They had maybe 6 more boxes of Wii versions and many people were waiting around for Xbox and PS3 versions but I left before seeing if there actually were any.

Sold out pretty fast in all versions to every place I went which included Best By (Ajax, Whitby) FS (Ajax, Whitby), Walmart (Ajax, Oshawa). EB Games (Pickering,Ajax, Oshawa). Sam's Club, ToysRUs (Pickering). Costco (Ajax)
Now they each had numerous guitar bundles, but that is not what everyone is looking for this time out. It's the complete package and from each place I asked it sounds to me we're back to the same situation as last year. Trickles each week and going no sooner than they hit the floor.

got one today around 1pm at stc best buy, there was 2 left when i got there. 360 version
however, my drum's red pad is not registering hits properly. I read up a few sites and seems like the problem is pretty wide spread.
I don't even know if I should return it to BB, as there won't be another set for me to exchange it for.
Activision's RMA sucks at the moment cause you have to pay for shipping, but if the problem is so widespread, hopefully they can be like RB last year, and send you the replacement first, then let you ship it back to them for free.

Tons down in Bellingham (esp the Walmart) for 360/PS2. i dont' think I saw any PS3 ones. And the stupid thing is, the PS2 ones only work on PS2 slims. way to go activision.

returned my gh4 full bundle for rockband 2. i had to slam the cymbals to get it to register, ppls on gh forum said they opened the cymbals and find out that the wire is not touching the sensor and used some super glue and fixed it. I didnt want to bother with it, the main thing i wanted Gh4 over rb2 was the music creator. I knew it lacked vocal but i didnt know the quality for music creator sounds like 1999' nokia cellphone ringtone.

Went to the Future Shop at Keel/St. Clair about 20 mins before opening on Sunday. I was about 12th in line at that point and there were probably close to 40 people when the doors opened. Grabbed a 360 full bundle with no issues, but they were gone within seconds. Had a bunch of Wii Fits out too.

crap I'm having second thoughts about GH:WT now.. and the preorder for it already shipped (BestBuy). After hearing about all the problems with the drum pads, poorly designed kick pedal and gameplay, I'm starting to think that maybe RB2 is a better choice.
I kinda knew this would happen but appreciated the ambitious style GH had with the sliding touchpad on the guitar and the 5 pad drum set.
I wanted to have GH for a Halloween party coming up, thats why I preordered the game without waiting for proper reviews, but now that I heard about all the problems I don't feel like spending the week dealing with trouble shooting and or trying to deal with returning or replacing parts of the kit.
So I'm leaning towards picking up RB2 and then either seeing if a local best buy would take the return once my orders arrived or just selling it without opening it.
Am I jumping the gun with this? Its going to set me back 450 bucks. Do you think I'll be able to sell the kit? or should I return it to best buy...

honestly I would open it and test it... if it's fine keep it...if not return for a full refund. My set only has a small minor problem with the blue pad, about 30% of the circular area doesn't register. Otherwise it's fine...I was worried about the cymbals, but both of mine are fine. New guitar is great too...downstrums no problem. However I'm still contemplating on returning to Walmart b/c of the blue pad... but I have a month to test/play, so we'll see what happens...
FYI, if you do get a nice working set, these drums KILL the rockband drums...the cymbals make all the difference imho.

If anyone cares, TRU at Market Mall in Calgary had a couple of bundles for PS3 and Wii as of 6 pm. Didn't see any for 360.
