Free online games website

I'm not much of a gamer but enjoy to play a good game on my PC once in awhile...mostly adventure, mystery and spy stuff. Are there any online sites that have free games of this category...(I actually don't mind paying a small fee if it's a good game).

I know in the freebies section they mentioned gametap.com, though I haven't tried it.

for better games, to onto steam or good old games and pay for classic titles that are bout 5 bucks each?
