Hello all,

I have a Dell computer that was working fine until I updated to Service Pack 3. Since that time when I played World of Warcraft my computer would get the Blue Screen of Death and a message that there was a problem with nv_4.disp error. The error says something like:

"The Nv_4 display driver has stopped working normally, please save your work and reboot, when you reboot, a dialogue box will appear giving you a change to upload this error to microsoft"

I tried everything to fix it including downloading new drivers, cleaning the registry, starting in safe mode, etc etc.

So... I bought a NEW graphics card. World of Warcraft plays beautifully.

But now Windows Media Player gives me the BSOD!!!!!!!! I can get into the program and look at the different screens, but as soon as I try to watch a movie or live tv (I have a tuner) here comes the BSOD.

What could be causing this error?

I have the most up-to-date Driver for my graphics card.

Could it be my power supply? Technically I'm about 20 watts short of the required wattage for the new graphics card. Can't imagine that it would matter that much.

Could there be a problem with my RAM?

Any help would be appreciated.

copy the exact error message and search it on google

there are a lot of nv disp error that people encounter perhaps one of them is close to your case.

But if your PSU can't supply the card with enough power, it will definitely throw errors
