Hello
I just got my pc, it's HP media center m8407c.
It came with two 360gb HDs.
I'm trying to add my old 160gig HD as a third one as it has all my old PC data on it. But I have no idea how, or where to put it. Does anyone have any advice on this?
Here is some info:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00639696&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=&product=3624104&lang=
Talks about the primary and secondary but doesn't talk about addition space.

is your old hard drive is ide or sata? its probably ide so just connect an ide cable to your hard drive, then a power connector, find some space in your case and done. if you dont have any slots on your case, just lay the drive on the bottem of your case (if you dont move your case a lot)

OldHD is a Maxor 160GB ATA it says.
IDE I guess? It used the ribbon before.

if your motherboard does not have IDE, then your going to have to get a IDE PCI/PCIE contoller card for it. Then plug the controller card into a PCI/PCIE slot and then plug the old drive with a ribbon cable into the controller card.

It would look sorta like this.

Does it have IDE?
There is one that looks like it, but I'm thinking it might not be it?

how do I do that?
I'm getting so frustrated with this.
Mainly all I care about is getting the data. Even if I just have to connect the HD for the time it takes to transfer the data over, then disconnect it, I don't care anymore.

Spend less then $20 on an IDE harddrive enclosure.

According to the link provided by you,
That mobo does not have a PATA/IDE port.

As already suggested,
Purchase a 3.5" ATA/IDE hard drive enclosure.
Example at the following link,
