which memory speed should i get? 1066mhz or 800mhz?
i prefer ASUS boards, is there anything similar to the gigabyte that asus makes?

P5Q ~$140
You get a little more from Asus, but Gigabyte works just as good for its price.
1066 if you plan to overclock or little overclock with 800.

this is contrary to what i was asking but i came across this AMD build machine:
AMD Phenom 9550
AMD 780G motherboard
4GB
640GB SATA 7200RPM
ATI Radeon HD 3650
Super Multi DVD+/-RW, DVD-RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium
its an ACER build machine for about $600. what do you think of this setup?

the harddrive is WD made, the memory runs at 800mhz but it's non brand, so as the motherboard and some of the BIOS is locked by ACER. it has a 300watts PSU!!! i still haven't got it yet but is it worth it?

with what ya got all you need is a cpu, motherboard & ram
I'd go with what was sugested, pass on the asus unless ya want headaches with memory compatibility problems.
