Is anyone watching this show?
I have been taping it for the last few episodes because it is on at the same time as Survivor.. but it is a great show...
I didn't start watching it from the beginning, but when I did I really liked it.
If you go the the fox website you can watch the first 13 minutes of the premier episode.. Just to give you an idea what the show is about...

The actress in the show is super cute.. I read that she was on Buffy before.. I never watched that show.. but this actress is reason enough to watch Tru Calling ;) .. Well.. and the fact that the show is pretty neat...
I hope it gets renewed.. ANyway, it is on tonight so I figured I would post a heads up..

I've caught a few episodes of it. It like the movie, Groundhog Day except the protagonist tries to save a life each episode. I'm undecided if it's a good show or not but it's interesting so far.

Yup...Eliza Dushku played Faith on Buffy...she was a Vampire slayer too and kicked ass!
The show reminds of another one a couple years back called "Early Edition" on CBS...

I've watched a few episodes and I quite like the show. They film this at my school (UBC). I once watched them putting makeup on the actress from a couple feet away b/c they wouldn't let us out of the building b/c they were filming outside.

That is neat.. I didn't know it was filmed in BC..
After the episode tonight they said new episodes again in March..guess who is joining the cast... Jason Priestly !! Haha.. I guess I can hope for some positive attention to the show and hope it doesn't get cancelled...I wonder how it will effect the dynamics of the show...
I think I saw episodes on Bittorrent (one the "main" search engine everyone uses.. I won't say here because I don't think links are allowed)...

I saw tonight's episode. It's getting better now that they have decided to let the supporting characters have more of a role in the show. I thought Priestly was just going to do a guest star but but if he isn't, it could be a bit distracting since they don't need 2 lead characters.
I think what I like most about it is the mystery component of it. Within a limited amount of time, she has to figure out who killed that person so as to prevent them from getting killed. And of course, the lead character is nice to look at. ;)

dialup <> bittorent and there is not a reliable enough server with eps to even try with dialup so i'm out of luck till the dvds come out if they ever do.

I just finally got around to watching the last 3 or 4 episodes( since Jason Priestly showed up)! I had them recorded onto my computer but I hadn't watched them even after a few months..
They were really good.. I am looking forward to the new season. I hope that the ratings improve (I think it will now be before or after the O.C., plus no Friends to compete against). I guess survivor will still be on Thursdays though..
Anyway, I liked the ending on the season finale.. should be interesting...

I watched it for a while, but every show was the same:
She goes to the Morgue
A dead person wakes up suddenly and goes "help me"
She goes back in time
She runs around town
She thinks she has prevented the killing
She relaxes
She realizes she was wrong
She runs around again
She stops the real killing
Add saving her brother from his gambling problem, or her sister from her drug problem, and there you have the first season.

I liked that other show better, I was on a couple year ago. Same kind of show but this guy got tomorrow's newspaper today, so he went around saving people. I think it was called Early Edition.

Yeah, Eliza Dushku has a great attitude I think in this show, and I like her smoky voice. It is very sexy! I've only seen a few episodes, but yes, I've seen Tru Calling compared to Early Edition a fair bit. No doubt they'll be introducing more twists in the future, maybe probably more enemies too she'll have to do battle with to save people in time.

The show is really so so I thought. Only watch it when all other channels I got shows worse crap. :) Did anyone see that funny show, Wonder Falls piloted on Fox? I liked it quite a bit but I think they canned it after only three episodes. Too bad...... I'd take that over this. :)

Wonder Falls was excellent. I belive that they are releasing all the episodes to DVD later this year.
Tru Calling though.......You can tell that it was retooled after they shot the first batch of episodes (Jason P, the sneaky reporter).

REALLY?! I might get it when it's available then even though I don't really buy tv series dvd set myself.(none so far....... :) ) That show was great. The first one was the best. Second one was pretty good but the third episode feels kinda slow though.

I miss Early Edition, it was a really great show, and the premise was original. I used to watch it religiously, right up until the end.

Hey thanks for the heads up, Agent J. I liked this show even though I didn't watch a whole lot of it. I never made it a point to memorize its time slot/channel so I would always forget when it was on. Chances are that it was probably on opposite another show I regularly watch. I like Eliza Dushku...she's cool.

Actually, I was going to bump this thread up yesterday but I figured no one cared about this show :) In reality, it was cancelled. There are 6 episodes that have been recorded and that is what Fox is airing. All 6 episodes have been shown in New Zealand already. They are all really good (well, I was a fan of the show anyway). It is funny that the last episode is based around Christmas time. Hopefully they don't wait until Christmas to air it on north american tv!! I won't spoil anything but I liked the way they ended it (Even though I don't think it was meant as a final episode). Maybe the ratings will pick up in the new time slot and they will renew it!

I watched a few episodes of this. It seemed very Canadian-ish. It was pretty good too. How did it end?

Wow I just saw Perfect Storm (1st eps) and I thought that was good, but Grace (2nd eps) was even better!

This is an old thread and the show is cancelled but I just finished watching all the episodes and it's such a great show! :)
It's too bad it got cancelled, it left me with the same feeling when I finished watching Sliders (after the end of season 3)
I hope the box-sets go on sale for cheap soon. :)

Seasons 1 and 2 are out on DVD, but the pricing on them is kind of outrageous. I probably wouldn't buy them, but I would rent them to catch up on episodes I missed.
