Have you tried the high end chains like Zehrs, Sobeys?

Note - Glade Oil Candles only lasted 3 hours - I would never personally buy this product or recommend it, but since it was free :cheesygri

I figured A&P would have it for sure seeing as they are higher end but haven't
tried Sobey's or Zehrs as there aren't any locations close to me. Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully I can redeem it before it expires at the end of the year :lol:

I fully agree with you about the Glade Candles. For $9 a pop, I would never buy them or recommend them, for the lifespan of the candles. Refills are quite pricey too. They DO smell pretty awesome though!

What a coincidence...my mom just bought this product today...at WalMart. No coupon though, not sure how I missed it in July, I did get the one today for the free Pledge product...:) . I also got and used the one for the Glade Essentials Scented Oil Candle. These coupons are indeed getting better, seems to be at least one FPC with each set. Good idea to have a thread dedicated to them, thanks Ladybug!

I don't know where everyone lives but here in Nova Scotia we haven't received anything free....not even a few cents off. Why do they only put the free coupons in certain areas of the country, aren't we all the same....consumers? I just don't understand how this can done. Any ideas why certain areas of Canada are excluded from these offers? I would like to contact the people who print these coupons and find why this is done. Does anyone know who I can contact?

Thanks for replying to my message. Too bad there wasn't someone we could contact to ask why the Atlantic Provinces are excluded. Doesn't seem right that only certain provinces are included. Like I said we are all consumers.

I was waiting from months to get the new issue of the smart source magazine. I bought the newspaper for $1.40 (first time in my life). I throw the newspaper in the garbage and kept the magazine. The magazine was a piece of crap no good coupons at all >:( .

Next time, I will go to Safeway and look first to the magazine, if it has good coupons, I will buy the newspaper if not good bye! :lol:

I didn't get the coupon either. We never get the smart source magazine, but this week we did. I was so excited because I had remembered this thread indicating the free product, but after looking 3 times I couldn't find it and gave up.

Sorry to hear that many of you didn't receive it it your paper. I hadn't realized that these coupons were region specific.

I didn't find a FPC in the November 8th issue so didn't bother to post.
How timely that my National Post subscription ended and I don't have today's paper :cry:
Perhaps someone else check to see if there's a FPC? If there's a good coupon, I might just scoot out to buy a paper today :)

Maybe they are alternating between East,West and Central provinces when sending out the FPC's/mail in rebates.

ah i think it's the local newspaper (community newspaper?). because all i know is that whenever my bf gets the flyers, there's a local newspaper that comes with it too. hope this helps.

Got these coupons in my community paper this afternoon, and redeemed both freebies at RCSS this evening. The Wisp Flameless Candle retails for nearly $10. Like others have stated, I don't think it's worth the cost of buying them at full retail price, but for free... You betcha!

Hopefully the same coupons will be in tomorrow's Saturday Star.

Just that now there have been problems redeeming them at a lot of retailers cause of the fake coupons floating around. I guess I'll go out tomorrow to get them before more problems regarding use of coupons surface.

Yes you do but it depends on the coupon. If it says tax included in face value then you are not supposed to. BUT it also depends on the cashier;
I've used 2 coupons for the same product at 2 different stores. At Loblaws I had to pay tax (which I shouldn't have paid for!) and the other at SDM and I paid no tax. Walmart and Pharma+ you always pay tax.
Thats what I usually get. This issue has been brought up before. :|

I don't think that you can use printed copies of these coupons, only originals allowed. I also didn't receive any flyers this week; my delivery boy must be on vacation!

I had trouble finding the plug ins and the flameless candles, I went to zellers and walmart and all they had there were the refills, not the actually product. I ended up finding them at Shoppers! The Clean linen scent is really nice!

As for the tax thing. I find when I redeem the coupons without any other purchases I don't have to pay any taxes on it. I like to collect all of my coupons for free stuff and do a "free shop". There is nothing more satisfying...

If it's a 'free product' coupon at Shopper's they enter it using the '2002' coupon code and it automatically takes off the tax. If it's a cents off, they enter it using the '2001' code which doesn't remove the taxes. I try to go there as often as possible when using FPC's, so that I won't have a problem.

Yes, go to Mcdo on saturday morning ask them for a copy of Toronto Star, look for the smart source coupon take it home. Its Free no cost to you (they don't even know if u have order food from them).

Walmart has the Pledge duster kits!
I don't have any free coupons, but used to have $3 off so they were almost free as well.

The pledge and brush are great for cleaning my mini blinds :)

I live in North York and they drop off THE MIRROR (the newspaper that neighborhood kids deliver) at my doorstep Thursday evening. The Smart Source coupons are found within it.

Got all 3 that OP listed. Question is, how much does a Sense & Spray Holder usually go for (use the $5 coupon along with it)?

I used the Glad $5 off kit at Zellers today. There were two on a shelf (Apple and Cinnamon). The shelf tag said $5.99 (tag product said Sense & Spray), so assumed it was the right produce. Took it to the cash and it scanned in at $9.99. Remember Zellers doesn't do scanner code, so i told her the shelf tag said $5.99, so she corrected. Then I took out the coupons. $5 off the Glade kit, free Glad refill, and free Scrubbing Bubbles. Then I had a 80,000 points card with any purchase.

Ended up being a very nice trip to Zellers.

well just went to SDM to double check the codes and it's like this:

2001 is just the money amount deducted and still being charged for taxes and you don't get any SDM points.

2002 is the freebie code, you don't get charged with any taxes but you DON'T get SDM points.

2004 is the freebies code, you don't get charged with any taxes but you DO get SDM points.

So next time, ask the cashier kindly, if she cant input code 2004 for you, so you can get the bonus points.

When there were some get $2.50 off coupons a few months ago for scrubbing bubbles products, I got the gel at Zellers. I think, but I'm not sure, they have it at Walmart - I've picked up the spray and the pads at Walmart. This time around, I've seen shelf tags for the gel at Loblaws but the shelves were bare.

Glade Sense and Spray I've seen at Loblaws, SDM, Price Chopper, Zellers and others have said Walmart.

I think the Sense and Spray should be the easiest to find it's seems to be stocked in a lot of places, the gel is going to be harder to locate. I figure it's just going to be out of stock everywhere for a bit either because it's being scooped up fast by RFD'ers with coupons or the stores are hiding the stuff from RFD'ers with coupons.

You haven't witnessed anyone doing that here - you've read posts on the internet from people who claim to have done this sort of thing. The probablility that many of them have done so does not make it less of a fraud.

Update: I received the voucher for a free haircut today, so the FPC's did work as 2 'purchases'. When I went online to look up the participating locations though, I realized there weren't any in my city....go figure LOL

If you don't already have the particular Smart Source coupon booklet that was distributed in March, then you won't be able to take advantage of this deal. You will have to hope that within the next 7 days some other publisher publishes the same coupon (highly unlikely).

Smart Source has since published another publication and no said coupon.

I used up my $5 off Sense and Spray coupons today at Wally World, just had to pay the tax and I used my $5 gift cards from the Glade holiday gc promotion to pay the tax. Gotta love Glade!. Some cashiers will let you get more than one Sense and Spray at a time, some cashiers will only let you have one. Fortunately I was at a location with lots of cashiers so I was able to use all my coupons today. :D Thanks for the heads up on this one! Now I have to go and stock up on the refills!

Yes there is one out, I saw it yesterday at my mom's. No freebies or B1G1. There's a $2 off if you buy two different Lysol products and I think something for Huggies and some Febreeze product ones (dollar off a candle, dollar off a spray that kind of thing) and that's all I remember as there was nothing I was interested in.

Heads up folks. There will be a coupon insert in this weekends paper for a free Glade Sense & Spray.

In my experience if you get home delivery for the Toronto Star it will be in the Saturday paper. Many have reported buying the Saturday paper in the store and not finding an insert. So I'd advise you to buy the Sunday edition of the Toronto Sun instead as I've always gotten the coupon inserts then.

Besides Zellers, I know for sure that they are at Walmart, RCSS and Valumart. You have to pay the taxes though so it's better to wait until these are on sale somewhere. I was at RCSS today and they were $9.99 so I didn't redeem my coupon.

Was in the Mississauga Newspaper on Friday July 31st.

It is in the Toronto Sunday Sun today, Sunday August 2nd.

The fine print is really blurry because the coupon is so small. I would normally say they wouldn't accept the coupon, but if you take the coupon still attached to the whole sheet and point out the big writing "free glad ..." and point to the picture, then you should be gold.

Anyone try these units before? Are they better then the air wick? I know the cartridges are small, but apparently they only go off when there is motion/activity which would make them better then the air wick. The mini air wick, I can only ever get 30 days out of a cartridge on the lowest setting because they go off even if nobody is home.

I got 3 of these for free in our local WalMart about 3 weeks ago, no coupon required and no taxes charged. They had a lady just standing near the air fresheners handing them out with a coupon ofr $1 off cartridges.

You simply had to buy the cartridges.

I kinda like them for the bathrooms....

These come with a cartridge - no purchase necessary.

Forgot to mention I also had a coupon from save.ca for a free unit plus the cartridge...:o

So I went home with four, two for me and two for someone else.

They work great BTW.:)

Anyone in BC get this coupon? Victoria SmartSource did not have it.

Vancouver Sun Smart Source on August 1. My local community paper Smart Source didn't have it.

Zellers have them for $9.99.

Walmart has them on "rollback" at $6.00.

For some reason you may have to hunt for the product. They don't keep it with the regular glade or air wick stuff. In the 3 stores I visited, they had separate display units. In most cases the display units were nowhere near the air freshener stuff. One benefit of the display units is that they will have many units (Zellers I visited had 50+, Walmart had about 20).

No freebies in this issue but I'm glad to see a few good coupons like the Sunmaid raisins and the Buy 2 Lysol save $2.

I didn't buy 2 National Posts :lol: I have a free subsciption (posted here a while ago) and I received 2 Smart Source booklets in the one paper today :D
