Anyone think this is a good deal for a Wireless-N Router?
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10090565&catid=26055
FS has it for $63.99:

I've generally stuck with Linksys routers in the past, but the price here for Wireless-N seems pretty good.

I picked this up at Costco with the USB adapter (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10090567&catid=26056) for $99.99 a few months ago and it has worked like a charm. No issues, no resetting (so far), and it's a pretty strong signal to my 2nd floor. It's actually one of the strongest signals in my neighbourhood
Web based interface to set up everything (security, etc.), so it's pretty straight forward.
I too was a Linksys user, and was hesitant to go with Belkin, but no regrets so far :|
Unless you have an old(er) laptop or another desktop computer in your place (without wireless card), then you really don't need the USB adapter (I needed mine for my desktop). So for $45, yeah it's not bad. You can always try it and if you don't like it, just return it.
If you're worried about quality comparing Linksys to Belkin (although I never had an issue with Linksys) my friend had to repair his Linksys router twice under warranty and it still kept on breaking (all Linksys did was send him a refurb each time!!). Oh yeah, lifetime warranty on the Belkin!!
Hope this helps.

I also have this router but have experienced drop outs from time-to-time. The new firmware has helped and suggest that you update right away to get max performance. For $45 bucks its a good deal

i Think it's the same router that was on NCIX October fest sales for $29.99
I bought one , and so far i don't regret my old Linksys.

I bought this a while back for $40-45 too, but haven't installed it yet. Does anyone know if there are any 'tricks' to swapping this with my current Netgear G router, or is it a straight swap and reboot?
BTW OP, your BB link goes to the Belkin wireless N adapter (which I also need to go on sale!).

I'll also give a thumbs up to this router. Definitely a good one. I think that's roughly what I paid for it last year.

Thumbs up here for Belkin too. I have an older wireless G router that had some dropouts, updated to newest firmware and it's been running like a top for a year straight. I also believe Belkin is the only router company that still offers LIFETIME Warranty, something that Linksys and D-Link don't even come close to.

I've never had any problems with Belkin. I've had their Pre-N router running for about 2 1/2 years and it has been solid - no drop connections, etc.
I've also dealt with Belkin in the past for warranty purposes and they do in fact support their product for life (i.e. Lifetime warranty). I've had to get warranty service for both a wireless keyboard and a PCMCIA card and there was no hassles. They do get you to go through the support call process just to confirm that the product is defective, but once it's confirmed, they ship you a new replacement.
In my case, they did not even ask me to send the defective product back. They just shipped me a new one with no proof of purchase or any other supporting documentation.
I highly recommend Belkin, based on experience with them and their products.

This N router is a real pain for Firewall/ Virtual Server settings... especially with SIP-based Voip... tech support is terrible too!

Agreed.
If you only plan to surf, this router is fine.
If you plan to use it for your 360/PS3, AVOID this router. DMZ doesn't work, port forwarding, probably doesn't work (I still can't get this to go to NAT2 on the PS3 without UPnP, upon which when it's enabled drops my connection like mad), cannot adjust MTU in the router either. You'll have a horrible time trying to play online with this. I've been trying to set this router up to no avail. It gives a flaky connection to PSN, EA, and Sony servers a like despite it having 100% signal.
People here warned me back in boxing day about this and I didn't listen...the life time warranty is worthless if it's not a product that meets your needs.

is this router better or http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10110734&catid=19994 ?
I plan on using it for ps3/xbox360 so if the Belkin one doesn't do the job for those, I might hold off on getting wireless N. Any experiences with the other one ?

Numerous posters here have recommended Linksys' WRT54GL for the 360/PS3.
