Hi All,

I'm going to be moving into my new home in December and I'm just trying to get a handle on costs and planning installs.

I'm going to have a gas stove in the kitchen but the gas line through the builder was expensive so I opted not to go with them.

I need the following things done before I move in. Does anyone know of any good contractors who do this work? Does anyone know prices? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

-- Gas line for stove
-- Electric outlet (110V) for stove
-- Install dishwasher, stove, water line for fridge, dryer?
-- Install garage door opener

PM "Anonymouse" and "DrXenon". They are Engineers and will be able to explain how to do these tasks yourself.

Thanks for the info, but I don't think I have the time or energy to worry about those things. I'd rather just get someone to do it.

Anybody else???

Where are these prices from? Do you have a contact or someone you could recommend?

We charge $250 and up for a 1/2" gas line. This is assuming the main line coming into the house is sufficient size. I am not aware of any licensed fitter who would install a line for less. Good Luck!

Can you PM me with details about your company? Do you provide any of the other services I'm looking for?

Thanks.

One Of my friend is a Heating and A/C Contractor. He Did Gas line for my stove,BBQ,and Gas Dryer. He also did my Central A/C
as for the Water line for the fridge and Dishwasher hook-up, i did it myself since the rough are already there. the price i got for the fridge and the dishwasher is from a builder contractor.

I got mine done by a neighbour who installs AC, charged $150 for gas line for outside bbq.

For dishwasher, go to Leon's and open one of the demo dishwashers, you should find a business card for an installer. I remember seeing $99 for the service. They probably will install the other stuff too.

But since you haven't moved in yet, consider hiring the handy man that comes and fixes things that are wrong w/ your house. For sure you'll have a few items the builder will have to fix. When the guy comes ask him if he'll swing by after work or on the weekend. Or even walk over to the trailer and ask if anyone wants the job.
