Considering getting Expressvu but from What I have seen it's way overpriced for new subscribers. For thos of you that have the service what kind of price are you paying? I don't plan on bundling since they don't have high speed in my area. I want HD and would prefer Bell but unless they change their tune I will go with Rogers. (I almost think they don't want my business)
Let me know what I can get. I would not want to purchase anything since that forces you to stay with them.

I just signed up for BTV in Moncton, NB. I watched for deals, and found one on the HDPVR...$300 credit on bill, $100 instant credit from store I bought from. In the process of moving from Toronto to Moncton, and find that the HD essentials package from BTV is what I need, and about $25/mth cheaper than what I was paying for with Rogers (programming only, not including rentals).
Haven't experienced the install, or the quality yet, but happy with the purchasing experience. They typically run a promotion every month on the hardware, if you're willing to buy instead of rent.

So what will you end up paying monthly? What I have seen is $62 a month?

My neighbour has BEV.
He ordered 2 extra PVR's and installed them at my house and another neighbours. We ordered every package we can get, and we split the bill 3 ways. I think we pay $40/mo each.

I called in to cancel my service due to budget reasons (2 recievers, 6 themes - was sitting at ~$60 a month) , and the guy gave me 50% off for 6 months.
Just got my first bill for $30 :D

I'll be paying about $82/mth, with an additional HD receiver. I WAS paying around $120/mth with Rogers, renting the HDPVR and HD receiver. I'm saving money 'cuz I'm not paying for all the channels Rogers conveniently "bundles" for you, and only picking the themes that I want.
If I were to get exactly the same as I was getting with Rogers, I'd be paying about the same amount, not including the deal I got on the HDPVR.

Like mlc has suggested, see if you can find somebody who also wants BEV. Order a few extra recievers and split the bill. Probably not the most legal thing to do but meh.
