Hi folks,

I'm trying to decide between Voxcom or Safetech for monitoring my alarm system, including cell backup since I don't have landline.

The details I got from each one are as follows:

Voxcom
$300 cellular backup
$40.95 /month
3 year term
replace my existing equipment with new stuff - warrantied for 3 years
1 free motion sensor
2 free door/window contacts

Safetech
$200 cellular backup
$37.95 /month
3 year term
replace my existing equipment with new stuff - warrantied for life
1 free door/window contact

Based solely on pricing, Safetech seems to be the better option, and I'm leaning towards them.

Anyone have thoughts about either company based on personal experiences?

Please share... thanks!

I have Voxcom and I love it. I noticed that whenever I accidnetally trigger the alarm I usually get a call within 30 secs or so. Which is a pretty good response time in my book.

If you do by chance go for Voxcom and nobody has referred you then let me know (I can use the free referral ) :)

warrantied for life

Yours, theirs or the equipments? :)

And the cell would not be a backup, but your only method of communication because you have no land line. So make sure it works as such.

Heheh good point... I guess they mean the equipment is warrantied as long as you're their customer.

That's correct - I've stressed this point.

We're with Voxcom. Their callbacks (false alarms) and customer support in general has been very good.

I'm with Safetech now and from what I know the warranty is not for life. The warranty is tied into your monitoring fees which you have the option of removing (only costs about $2-$3 per month). I have yet to have a false alarm as I have only been with them for 2 months so I can't really give you an accurate review yet. I know you can strip down the services and get your fees to about $26 or so if you refuse the security guard, warranty etc. I'm not trying to convince you either way as you should get what you want but if you decide to go the Safetech route I'll split the $50 referral bonus with you.
