You're too late, there's nothing you can do.

You had to register for a mail in ballot, or go to an advance poll. Short of coming back to vote on election day, you're out of luck.

The deadline to register to vote by special ballot was 6:00 p.m. (Ottawa time) on Tuesday, October 7, 2008.
Electors away from their own electoral district who received a special ballot voting kit must ensure that their completed ballot arrives at Elections Canada in Ottawa no later than 6:00 p.m. (Ottawa time) on election day, Tuesday, October 14, 2008.
Electors inside their own electoral district who received a special ballot voting kit must ensure that their completed ballot reaches their local Elections Canada office on election day, Tuesday, October 14, 2008, before the close of the polls.
By law, late ballots cannot be counted.

Just interested in what internship you are doing? But just as an opinion if I had an intern that waited untill 9 hours before the polls open, to ask on a forum like this, how they get to vote they would not be an intern for long.
