Has anyone in Ottawa ever used the installation services of either End of the Roll stores in Ottawa?

I'm looking to get some carpet installed on a set of stairs and have some fibre floor installed in the kitchen and front entry.

Opinions on thier customer service quality and installation quality would be appreciated.

Thanks!

No, but I was in their store once for five minutes and found their selection to be very limited.

Ask for installer references.

My wife and I purchased carpeting from End of the Roll near the Costco in the east end back in July. It wasn't a big job (approx 200 square feet). We purchased it on a Sunday and it was installed 3-4 days later. Installer was very professional and friendly. Cost was about $700.00 including removal of old carpet and underpad and installation of new.

Great feedback!

Has anyone had fibre floor installed?

I have had carpet installed by them about 5 years ago and fiberfloor installed about 3 years ago by them. It was the same installer but he brought a crew of inexperienced goons with him the second time and it didn't go as smoothly as when he did it himself with one helper.

EOTR (not Ottawa) overestimated my area by a fairly large amount, which would have cost me an extra $400.
I checked and double checked and couldn't believe it so I got some independent quotes and sure enough, EOTR was over by a long shot.
Three independent quotes were within 10sf of each other. They all said I would have had tons of extra cuts left over.

I ended up only buying their carpet and best pad while using a professional independent installer.
