Has anyone seen the infomercial for Multimaster?

seems kinda neat, do you guys think this would be useful for installing hardwood flooring?
well not installing but removing carpet staples, cutting door jambs, and cutting hardwood.
One thing that sucks about this tool is that the accessories are proprietary and are not sold on stores.

For that price, no way. Staples are nothing to get up with just a pry bar or even a flat screwdriver. Undercutting door jambs, certainly not for $400+. Use that money for a decent saw IMO..

Seems to me a Dremel would do most of what that tool does and there are other small multi tools you can check out at the stores that would do the other things (the sawing for instance) and you'd still have more money left in your pocket. Just go check out the attachments companies like Dremel or Roto-zip offer and you will see what's available. The stores that carry tools have all manner of neat multi-task tools from high to medium to low priced so you wouldn't have to spend that much especially if you aren't using the thing every day.
Taking out carpet staples is no big deal. I did mine with a screwdriver (to lift them) and pliers so that (IMO) isn't worth a special tool. You probably would find a good miter saw or similar good for cutting wood and trim and you don't need a lot to cut door jams so save yourself some money and go see the tools that are in the stores.
