My wife and I are trying to plan a getaway for March Break.

For the past 5 years we've been vacationing in Kiawah, SC. Kiawah is one of the nicest places I've ever been. When you tell people you're going to South Carolina, they think Myrtle Beach..

Myrtle Beach is a nightmare compared to Kiawah :-)

This year we want to go somewhere different.
We love Beach at Kiawah, where you can be on ten miles of pristine beach with no other people. It's really awesome...

The weather is usually pretty nice.
This year we want to try somewhere else.

Anyone have any suggestions? Something very nice, a little off the beaten track, a little quiet in terms of people... great food, nice weather, lots to see.een

Been looking at the Caribbean but everything is either chock full of people , or less people and $1000 a night...

Looking forward to your advice.

You are going away on March Break - one of or if not the BUSIEST time to travel.

The only place I can think of is perhaps somewhere in Arizona, or maybe on of the Verginias.....

that's exactly the reason we always end up in Kiawah.... but you pay a price for that type of seclusion.
