Hey Mattones,

How long you been bowhunting? I'd love to get into the sport in maybe bout 5-10 years.

I don't hunt, but I've always been interested in archery as a target sport. How would I get into that in the western Mississauga/Oakville area?

Tofu,

I have been doing it on and off for about 7 years. Some years i go hunting and other years I don't. Out of the 7 years of shooting a bow I have been out hunting about 5 times and killed a deer each time. I may head out this year if i find time and its good with my partners.

Its never to late to start Archery. Even if its not for hunting you can just join a club. If you consider hunting get your license, buy a bow, practice, practice and practice then find someone to head out with shoot yourself some deer!

You shuld consider joining a club. from there they will teach you all you need. I'm sure there are Archery clubs in Sauga.

that price include the quiver, sight, case and release? I have not bow hunted in about 15 years and thinking about getting back into it. What arrows do you find best these days?

Go for it. It will be a great hobby for you and if your down for going to tournaments you could win lots of stuff and a little extra money!

What on earth opens in two weeks? I had no idea your season was so late down there. We just had rifle season open for moose where I am, bear has been open for over a month, birds a month, duck and goose a while too..

Nice bow, I'd never buy one brand new but that's just me. IME there are a ton of people who buy them, realize that bow hunting is rediculously difficult (except for birds), give up and sell a practically new bow for half price. Did you shop around? I hear cabela's/SIR has some really good deals in their flyer atm.
