has anyone dealt with opinion4cash or other mystery shopper services?
my first "assignment" involves cashing a cheque(quite a large sum) that they provide and then transfering the money somewhere else. seems too good to be true. most mystery shpper jobs i know, don't pay this well and usually require simpler tasks such as grocery shopping or mall shopping. i'm skeptical. advice please. could this be a phishing scam, where they get me to deposit the check, and then after i transfer my own cash, they somehow request the money back, and end up getting to keep their money while taking mine?

thanks for that link. its scary how legit the check looks. its actually from a pretty famous bank in canada. but i was also skeptical that they would trust me to cash so much money and to use it appropriately.
I guess i'll be keeping the check as a souvenir.

just found more information

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/245/RipOff0245445.htm

scary stuff. what happened to this person was they deposited the check into their bank account. it got cleared.
after it got cleared and they thought it was safe because they assumed the money was deposited into the bank account, they went to moneygram to transfer the requested funds. after it was done. they checked their bank account later and it was found that the check was counterfeit. and they lost the amount they sent.

ie. check was written for 3000$
you wait for it to be deposited into your account.
it's deposited/ given the OKAY,
then you go to the money transfer store and transfer it.
then you check your bank account and it's actually -3000.
for the amount you transfered.

read the site for more information. really scary how legitamite it looks.
why is there no banking safeguard against this?
