Hi everyone,
I have a feeling we have a case of mealy bugs and flies on one of our flower plants. It is truly disgusting and I think that the plant will die but my mom is terribly stubborn. She thinks that I am knocking all the buds off and such nonsense, but I wouldn't do those kinds of things. I was taking a look at the buds and I was disgusted to the bone. I took a couple of pictures. So far, these are onlly on the flowers and generally aren't on the leaves. I've taken simple green in a 1:400 ratio and sprayed the plant as well as having used some of my mom's insecticide. I don't know if that stuff is safe on the plant buds but I did it anyways because the plants were f*d anyways. I really dont want to see the plant die, is there any way to save it? Most of its buds have fallen off as has its only flower. It's actually quite heart breaking.
