Yesterday, I booked a round trip with Spirit Airlines (Spiritair.com) 7 tickets for $525 US in total plus 2 bags $60 US for November 17 to 28 from Detroit to Orlando. Now I have to find a good deal for Van rental. So far the best I can find is about $436 US for 11 days from Orlando Airport.

I have accommodations taken care of for first 6 days and will have to find a place for November 23 to 28 or large family (7).

Any ideas?

What dates did you book? Are you part of the $9 fare club?

Go and take a look at www.skyauction.com.

Something may come up. I spent a week in a resort in Orlando for $300.

But the week of US Thanksgiving! You will have to be very lucky.

I am not member of $9 club, I did not want to spend $39 for annual membership. As a result, I paid $27 each way plus taxes (as $9 member you would pay $18).

I had certificate ($184CAD) that I purchased from skyauction last Year. I am using this certificate for the firsht 6 days (November 17 to 23). I will still need accommodations for 23rd to 28 th and van in Orlando for 11 days starting November 17.

I did not think of American Thanksgiving when I booked the flight. I am hoping something will come up.

hmmm, i thought you said you bought 5 flights, at 5 * $18 = $90 which would have more then paid for the membership plus some cash in your pocket.
