Hi
I would like to leave Toronto Downtown (King & University) @ 6PM tomorrow (Thursday) and am wondering what is the fastest method of transportation to Pearson Airport? Since it is during rush hour, would airport cabs/taxi, bus, TTC, or drive be faster? Time for each option? If drive, any optimal route?
Oh, it would be great if you can approximate the price for the trip too!
Thanks!
edit: I just called Airflight Services. They said 45min+ @ $49.00 Flat Rate.

Try Toronto Airport Express, I took it last month from Dundas/Bond to Pearson, took a little over one hour and costed me under $17 one way.

The fastest in order:
1. Driving yourself but it also depends on whether or not you're willing to speed and how far you park from the Terminal.
2. Taxi but you have to wait for them unless they pass by your place regularly.
3. Toronto Express...watch out...their times vary. I took this a couple of weeks ago and it was under an hour both ways but the trip out he was late at the stop by 15 mins.
4. TTC.

The fastest way is by cab (or airport limo which is only $5 more than a cab). If you call the airport limo beforehand, they will always be on time to get you. Regular time to airport without traffic is about 25-30 mins. At 6pm, there could be heavy traffic so about 45 mins. Cab is about $45-$50 and airport limo is $5 more. Driving yourself is not the fastest way because you have to park your car and then take a shuttle to the airport from the parking lot.

... from downtown core and no traffic airport runs 53 bux ... include traffic to that
if i drove you i would do this ....
uni north ...welessley to st george north ... bloor to i dunno douvercourt north ... dupond west to dundas west to 427 north
cuz 6 pm uni south, bay south, younge south, spadina south are bumper to bumper on weekedns week ends no prob. also if you head south then you will face traffic at lakeshore or gardner west all the way
the way i said above you keep moving. =0)
also ...make sure you use bloor between 4 to 5-50 cuz after that people start to park on both sides ... avoid bloor between jarvis to st george big mess.
