People don't "organize" dates anymore. It just kind of happens. You phone her up and ask if she wants to go some place, but the word "date" is never said. It's such an old-fashioned thing to say.

For your info miss, it has nothing to do with my love life, mainly a question that came up while watching a tv series the other night. Stop derailing my threads grrr! RFD must have some policy against stalking somewhere... lol

To answer the OP's question, personally, I'd only consider it a date, if both parties think there's a possibility of getting romantically involved. Most of my friends are male, so when I go out with them, I definitely don't consider it a date.

My definition of a "date" is doing something 1 on 1 with someone with the potential to lead to a relationship/bedtime/future dates. If it's 2 on 2, I call it a double date. Going with a friend who already is in a relationship is not dating, unless he/she is willing to cheat.
