Day trip suggestion

Hi there,

I live in the Whitby area and I am looking for suggestions for a day trip to see the fall colours. Can anyone suggest a nice drive that would have me back in Whitby for 5pm. I just want to see some nice trees with the colours and possibly a river. I'm not looking for a local place, I want to drive at least an hour or more.

Go north to Fenelon Falls, Kawartha Lakes area and back.

Go to Collingwood. Take Six street west to the mountain.There is lots of rivers and lakes that will take your breath away.....Oh you said colors.. You have never seeing anything like it you will feel you are on top of the World.:)
