I need advice from anyone whose job involves lifting 40+ lbs. Do you use any kind of back support belt to help reduce back pain due to constant heavy lifting? I never have back injury but my back often feel sore after a day of work. I know the correct posture when lifting but sometimes I just can't lift correctly.

What do you recommend? Where can I buy such belt?

Saunders Work S'port Back Support looks to be an ideal belt that won't ride up.

If you're doing any labour work, take it slow and don't hurt your back. Trust me, back pain for the rest of your life is NOT fun.

These back support belt can be found anywhere. Obus Forme brand is the most popular, found at Shoppers Drug Mart or any pharmacy.

My career is occupational rehab and ergnomics. Use of a lifting belt is only recommended for occasional use. Take it off once you are done the lifting, as your body will actually get weaker if you wear it a lot, leading to injury.

Its best to keep you body strong and use good technique. If you are really being pushed around by your workplace you can always do an annonymous report to workers comp and they might come do an inpsection.
