I'm planning on flying out of Pearson tonight and was wondering if whiskey is cheaper on the plane than at the stores in the airport. Any comments?

Here are the prices for booze and smokes onboard AC.....

I usually don't buy at YYZ, but for airport duty free in general, I have found the AC prices to be slightly better... but there is a chance they might not be carrying what you want to buy or go OOS by the time they get to your seat.

if you are having a transit spot, then you shouldn't buy any alcohol.. they will make you throw it away before you board the plan...

Cool, I'll use this for comparison.

YYZ, and YVR duty-free suck compared to YYC I've found.

I can get a 1L bottle of Crown Royal for $22 at YYC. At YYZ, they wanted $30 when I was there last week, and same deal at YVR. Same bottle at my local liquor store in Canada is $36-$37. So doesn't seem worth it.

At LHR, a bottle of Crown Royal sells for 21.75GBP. On the AC flight back from LHR, the same bottle sells for 24CAD.
