My wife and I want to get away in November for 3 days (Saturday to Monday), can anyone recommend places to go?
- We dont' want to go to Niagara Falls
- Flying is not too big of a deal but we want to keep it under $600 for the both of us.

Also, if anyone can recommend sites that have 'weekend getaways' or anything like that it would be greatly appreciated.

I can only assume you are from Toronto ... for reasons which may not be apparent to Torontonians ..

Well most people who ask redundant questions make pretty vague threads.

To the OP, search for weekend getaway here. It's been discussed many times.

I'd suggest Montreal, but then you'd probably make a thread on what to do in Montreal.

Alright fine, how bout I make it a bit more specific!!!!

Location: I'm from Toronto
Age group: 25 - 30
People going: Me and the wife

Not looking for clubbing scene. More like a romantic getaway that is not in Montreal or Niagara Falls.

I've been to Montreal MANY times, so I wouldn't need to know what there is to do there.

Looking for: Weekend getaway (leaving saturday coming back monday). I looked on google and the most I could find would be 4 or 5 day vacations.

BTW to the above 2 posters
Thanks..... for nothing

Well, why "thanks... for nothing" ?
After all, without the above 2 posters you wouldn't "make it a bit more specific" ;)
And we still be guessing what you know, and what you don't, and what kind of getaway you have in your mind.

Now, to avoid being labelled as yet another "for nothing" poster, let me suggest taking your wife to a forest to see fall colours. My lady thinks such a trip is very romantic ;)

In a case you wish some "a bit more specific" suggestions, please consider going to the Algonquin Park, and taking some strolls there. There are enough trails there not only for one, but for several weekend getaways.

If you saw all the Algonquin Park already, there are several more forests in weekend-drive-vincinity from Toronto. To name a few: Bruce Peninsula Park, Adirondack Park, Alleghany Park, Letchworth Park...

There's always the Vegas?

I've also seen 3 and 4 day cruises...

The Couples Resort in Whitney, beside Algonquin, its gorgeous. Very romantic but its probably close to your budget limit.

if you can find a cheap hotel in NY, you can fly for cheap using LAN

Thanks for the link to the site!!

- Thanks for the suggestions, I might look into something in Northern Ontario. Would like to do New York with the LAN deal, but I can't find 'affordable' accomodations in New York.

Good site.

I find Ontario boring as Hell. This might help.
