is it a good time to do an MBA starting in fall 2009? or do you think i should postpone the admission for an additional year? or much further down the road?

i'm not very knowledgeable about this US market/economy stuff, but i am fully aware that job prospects are pretty dim. basically i want to do my MBA in a time period where when i graduate, there will be a better chance of me getting a job...as opposed to going through what some people are going through right now.

the MBA program is two years full time, and i want to specialize in marketing strategy. (not interested in finance, banking etc). i have been working for more than 2 years already.

is this a wise choice?

In two years the market will most likely be on the upswing. Maybe not so much in the US, but Canada should be alright.

Sooner the better I would say, I don't think it will really stale date or expire on you within 2 years. You can always add new education to your resume; and if you get it soon you will be ready upon recovery. (2 years is a short time frame all things considered and people are still hiring during the down time.)

I agree. If you have the time and money, by all means go for it.

What are you giving up by starting the MBA program then (or ever) ?
