I got my car tinted the other day and I noticed immediately that when I'm looking at my rearview mirror at night, all the cars have headlight glare that seems to be rippling off my defogger lines. The result is the headlights scatter and make it hard to see. This happened after the car was tinted and wasn't there before.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, it's because the defogger lines are raised on the glass and the tinting film has to bend slightly to go over them, so the film also refracts the light.

When I had my windows tinted, the tinting shop asked me to wait a week or so to give the blurriness of the back window a chance to go away. It did.
