At Futureshop it's $449, and uptil Friday, Best Buy had it for $399. But they raised it to $449...

I just want a 26" or 32" LCD TV that's got a great picture and color for the price, including:

At least 2 HDMI inuputs. Check.

Lots of picture editing features, like the backlight, color temp, noice reduction, edge enhance/DCDi. All check.

But does anyone know if the picture is really good when at full capacity? How's the red push/color saturation? That's really bugging me, since you have to have the color down to 50% to get rid of the over saturation of the red and such on my TV.

What's very important is how good it displays 480i and 480p. They look great on my TV.

My TV is the Insignia NS20WLCD. I bought it two years ago at Futureshop for $399.

What I want to know is, when can I expect an in-store sale on it? There's going to be a two day online-only sale... and I can't order online.

Are there any coupons? Any special deals I can make? Any day to look forward to that will have the TV on sale in-stores?

Thanks! :)

My recommendation, don't.

Do you have a price limit?

Basically, you get what you pay for.

Well I'm willing to spend $599 max if nessesary.

What's wrong with this Insignia model exactly?

Ah I really should have read reviews before I commented, I'm just not a huge fan of non-popular names.

The Insignia got good reviews, but for the price.

A couple things you should watch out for:

- There is NO ATSC tuner, so when we go digital, you will need a separate ATSC tuner box.
- Contrast ratio is low (800:1)
- 1 Composite output
- 1 Component output

Go into FS and look at it yourself as well, and compare it to other TV's before you make the purchase.

Thanks a lot for that warning!

I found this Soyo TV at Factory Direct:

http://www.factorydirect.ca/catalog/product_spec.php?pcode=SO0026

For a measly $299! O_o

After checking at Soyo's website, it seems the very TV is the SYTPT2627AB.

Here's a complete page of iffy specs AND photos:

http://www.soyo.com/product/Televisions/4/Onyx_Series_-_26%26quot%3B_LCD_HDTV/344

The photos are of that model, you see the model # on a info sticker in one of the pics.

Apparently it's has both the NTSC and ATSC tuners. 3 HDMI, 2 Component, and 2 Composite inputs! With an 8ms response time and 1200:1 contrast ratio! The photos confirmed the extra HDMI inputs and such.

But is this too good to be true? Is this brand and model specifically a piece of ****?
