Hi All,
I just completed a deal on a new Sharp Aquos 52' 1080p TV.
I did a price match with Future shop. The TV was going for 2299.99 at BB and 1699.99 at FS. Anyways I wanted to also combine the price match with the tube trade in and get the extra 250 off.
The guys at the store told me that I couldn't do that, but on their website NO WHERE does it say you can't combine deals.
So my questions, since they don't say I can't combine deals, should I go in there and demand they do?
Also they have another deal where they would give me $50 bucks off a TV not in stock and ship it to me for free, should I try and take advantage of that as well?
I'm not trying to be cheap but they are basically ripping me of off $350 bucks (250 for the tube trade in and $50 for the not in stock and a $50 value of the free shipping).
Thanks!

Why do you guys think they should combine offers?
The $250 off IS their offer. Its basically a coupon. You can PM them their price - $250 vs the price at futureshop.
From their website:
Our Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to advertising errors or misprints, special educational prices, restricted offers, mail order offers, rebates, coupons, premiums, free or bonus offers, OEM products, limited or minimum quantity or limited time offers, close-outs, liquidations, clearances, and special financing offers.
Makes me mad when people complain about uneducated retailers when its the consumers that are uneducated and think they are entitled to screwing over businesses.

no. their website says that you cannot pm IF the item at ANOTHER retailer (ie. Amazon) is less than their price because you used a coupon to bring the price down below their price (ie. Amazon's 10 dollars off for 40 dollars)
for example.
an item at amazon sells for $50 and best buy sells for $45. however, you have the MAPNEWNCSAVE(10 dollars off 40) coupon which knocks 10 dollars off which makes amazon sell for 40 dollars.
once again, their(Best Buy)'s PM policy does not apply IF another retailer (such as Future shop) has promotion going on for "bring in any TV and we will knock 250 dollars off your TV purchase. since it is Best Buy who is offering this "Trade in your tube and we'll knock 250 dollars off your purchase", their PM still applies.
for example,
Future Shop has a TV for sale at 1800 and they have the promotion where you trade in your TV and get 250 dollars off making it 1550 and Best Buy has the TV for 1600 dollars, hence, this PM is invalid because Future Shop has a lower price because of this promotion and not because of a sale price.
However, since Best buy themselves are offering this program, the trade in your tube program applies.
A valid PM would be:
Futureshop has a TV for sale on 1550 and Best Buy is selling it for 1600 and best buy's trade in your tube offer. so Best Buy should PM the TV for 1545plus knock 250 dollars off the price because the customer brought in a TV making it 1295.
its just sad that stores try to weasel their way out of PM making up tons of BS excuses when their policy is right above them in LARGE letters.

Just goto FS, BB are a-holes from my past experience. Their PM policies are made so that you can't possibly PM anywhere else. FS' policies are better and they are easier to deal with when PMing.
BB is a waste of time.

No you just don't get it.
Best buy's price is $xxx - $250. If some other store has a better price, then they will price match against that price.
This is no different than when BB has the F&F sale. They won't PM and then apply the 10% off, they PM on the price they are offering the sale to you.
You guys can't pick and choose which order they apply the discounts in order for it to be convenient for you.

You're right. Lets make it more convenient for the giant electronics retailer who makes it common practice to screw their customers, create fake or misleading policies to get customers through the door before taking it away, and generally being asses. That's MUCH more logical.
So which one do you work for, BB or FS?

I will vote for you if you ever run for Premier.
To Impossibles: Sure you can, go in ask for PM, then when cashier rings it up and gives you the PM you tell them 'Oh, btw, I have an old tv in the car, that will be another $250 off thanks!
If they choose to argue then just leave. Also a few people were able to do PM at BB with the $250 off if I remember correctly. Check the Hot Deals section.

I don't work for either, I just have common sense and ethics. A couple things that seems to be lacking on this site.

You are correct that the coupon does not reserve any right about not being combined with any other offer. That said, it does not mean they have to do a PM for you and allow you to use the coupon. They can easily say their policy does not allow them to accept coupons after a PM (remember they reserve the right to change their policy without notice).
Basically if you don't plan on wasting your time and making a big scene, the odds of you doing all that is pretty low. BB will find an excuse to not honor all the above you mention. You can try it but don't expect they will give in easily. I'm not even sure if you can do the 50 off + free delivery offer because the coupon states its not valid online. If its not valid online and the store does not have it on display, then you really couldn't "buy" the TV from the store since they don't have it in stock. Basically BB can use that to say the coupon is only valid for instock TVs (doesn't say it but with the wording, its possible for them to twist it around to that meaning).

Guys, it's simple - just use your brains.
PM first. Take your TV and go home. Come back the next day (different CS rep) with your tube TV and your receipt. Since PMs aren't shown on receipts (it just shows the price you paid), they have no reason to believe there was a PM and you will get your discount.

No it's not...cuz that's not the price they're selling it to EVERYONE for. That's only for customers that trade in a tube tv. If they just wanted it to be xxx -250, then they would just advertise it at that price and not include the tv trade offer.
