i ordered some items at Thebay Online 2 months ago. You get free shipping to a zellers store or the bay store.

So i choose to have it ship to a zellers store. The website said it should arrive in 10 business day. I waited 2 weeks, no calls, no email, website only show shipped date. I decided to give them a chance and wait another week.

Third week, I emailed them and ask about my order. They said it should arrive in the store in 2 days and they will call me.

fourth week, no calls, I decided to call the store and what the lady said was Do not call the store, we will call you when it's here. So i emailed the bay again. Suddently next day, zellers called me and said the order was there.

I go to zellers 6pm, the lady said the guy who takes care of the online order has left for the day and she doesnt know where my order was. I was so  , why is it so hard to pickup an order. She said come back tomorrow, he will be here till 9pm.

I come back next day, the guy said my order was there long time ago, but there was no phone number attached to the invoice, so he couldn't call me  I'm like what, when i order, i did give my phone number. You should check with the bay online and they will give you my number, or you could reverse check address on the internet.

So it took 4 weeks and 3 days to get my order. Never will do business with the bay online again:arrowd:

IMO Zellers has the worst service in person, I rarely go there anymore.

They have such few items on the website I'm surprised you found something you wanted to buy! lol

I had a similar experience except I didn't wait nearly as long as the OP before calling to find out what was with my order. I ordered online and had them ship to a Bay location, the item stated it would take 24 hrs to ship and it showed as "order shipped" for a week. So I called the online customer service number and they said often the store receives the product on time but they don't scan it in for a while (so it seems as though it has not yet been received). The lady called the store on my behalf and lo' and behold the next morning I get an email from the store telling me my order is ready. So next time you do order from HBC and ship to the store, call the online CS a few days later to track it for you.

+1

I ordered a few times, no problems, although i find that the online order tracking doesnt keep things up to date. =/

They are pretty slow to deliver. I had a package go to Home Outfitters once. When I went to pick it up, it was sitting on the counter behind the cashiers at the front door. My name and information were fully visible to anyone going by that counter on the way out the door. In fact, anyone could have just grabbed it and walked out the door with no one noticing. I wasn't impressed.

I had a very similar experience in early summer. I purchased a high end Kitchen Aid toaster from Home Outfitters online...same company as The Bay, Zellers, etc. I, too, had it delivered to a local Zellers store and it took bloody forever. In their mind, because of the free delivery...they can take as long as they want. The real kicker is that you can't cancel the order until you actually receive the product...absolutely absurd. I had two CSR's hang up on me when I questioned them about their shipping, poor tracking, and their crazy order cancellation policy. This company has no clue how to contact business via the internet. They should be avoided at all cost!!!

I had a similar experience with Home Outfitters this summer. I ordered a breadmaker to be sent to one of their local stores for pickup. After over 6 weeks of hearing nothing, I canceled the order.

It turned out that the breadmaker had arrived at the store several weeks before but it hadn't occurred to anybody to call me to let it know it had arrived. Idiots!

The story has a happy ending though. The same day I canceled the order, I happened to be in Costco and bought the same model for $20 less than what Home Outfitters had charged me. Great breadmaker too. :cheesygri

I ordered from Zellers online and choose free shipping to a Zellers store on Dec. 21.....after reading these experiences, I'm expecting the worse.
